: Terminator Impersonation
This is my best Terminator Impersonation.

You may think it looks silly, but it really is a lot of fun.

You may think it looks silly, but it really is a lot of fun. : Solar Eclipse [MSNBC Coverage] I’m currently watching MSNBC’s live coverage of the solar eclipse. Although, the commentators are not very interesting (and they are using horribly cheep props) it is fun to watch the eclipse through the telescopes. I remember witnessing a partial eclipse in grade school. We of course were told not to look at the event directly so we watched it through a cardboard eclipse viewer. That was not half as interesting as watching through these high powered telescopes. This reminds me of the evenings I spent stargazing when I was an undergrad at St. Mary’s College. Oh, the memories. Current Mood: thoughtfulMarch 28th, 2006: Scooter Joke I heard a funny joke today about scooters (well its sort of about scooters)… Dating an ugly girl is like riding a scooter, it may be a lot of fun but you don’t want your friends to see you doing it. : Princess Leia There has not been much going on lately so I thought that I would take this chance to upload a picture of my other favorite puppy Princess Leia. If you think that naming my puppies after Star Wars characters was extreme you should listen to the ring tones on my phone! March 26th, 2006: One of my favorite puppies sleeping. [Obi Wan Kenobi] ![]() What would a journal by Rob be without pictures of my favorite puppies in the world?!? [Answers: Not an honest journal at all.] : Black Eyed Peas Concert The concert was good! Not great. The Black Eyed Peas put on an excellent performance but in my opinion the Pussy Cat Dolls were awful. When I was watching the Pussy Cat Dolls I felt like I was watching a group of slutty aerobics dancers. There songs are lame and they perform like a group of singing strippers. The Black Eyed Peas on the other hand put on a great show, even though it was a hip hop concert. I must say that I have never loved a hip hop concert probably because half of the time I can’t hear what they are saying. Most of the time I know the words to the songs but if I don’t I’m lost. In my personal opinion hip hop is much better listened to on head phones than it is on stage. That being said the Black Eyed Peas did put on a great show. They were live, energetic, and into the performance. I especially liked it when Ferg sang Don’t Lie, while channeling Axel Rose, to the tune of Suite Child of Mine. I’m sure most of the hip hop fans did not notice but she did a great impersonation of Axel. Now for my critique of the Reno Events Center. I know that they built the venue flat so that it could be used for multiple events but it did not work well as a concert venue. The BEP’s used two screens to show their performance but they were too low. The ceiling in the venue was so low that you could not see the screens that were supposed to show you what was happening on stage. Furthermore, the stage was too low (I’m not sure if that was the fault of the Black Eyed Peas or the venue)! You could not see what was going happening on the stage from where I was sitting. I thought I had pretty good seats (row 23) but I could barely see what was happing. In my opinion the Reno Events Center needs a higher ceiling to accommodate viewing screens and a higher stage so that audience members on the floor can see what is happening on stage. Well, there is my rant for the evening. In my opinion the Black Eyed Peas put on a fabulous show if you can see what is going on. March 25th, 2006: BEP Concert Amy and I are going to check out the BEP's concert in Reno this evening. It should be great! I have been a huge fan of the Black Eyed Peas ("BEP's") for a long time. At St. Mary's I worked security when they played on campus. This was pre Fergie Ferg. I had a lot of fun but it didn't go well for the college. No one showed up (less than 400 people) so it made it really hard for the college to book other popular acts. Anyways, I'll post my report of the concert later. March 24th, 2006: Pictures I figured out how to load pictures!!! This is a shot of Amy and I while on tour with the Children's Theatre. |
